Dog Pound Duals – Tournament Information
The War Dogs Tournament Series: Dog Pound Duals is a high school dual-meet tournament featuring pool competition followed by a medal round.
Teams may roster up to 17 wrestlers and will compete across 14 high school weight classes plus three additional weights (106 = 109). All matches will be officiated by certified officials and will use 1-2-2 periods.
Tournament Format
Each team will wrestle every other team in its assigned pool. Medal-round matchups will then be determined by pool placement, with A1 vs. B1, A2 vs. B2, and so on. Established criteria will be used to break ties in both dual meets and pool standings.
Registration & Seeding
Team registration and roster entry will be completed through KapWrestling. Participating teams will receive a link to enter their roster. Tournament seeding will be based on each team's individual wrestler credentials.
Weigh-Ins
The tournament will use the HONOR System, with wrestlers completing weigh-ins at their own club.
Exhibition Matches
An exhibition mat will be available during the first couple of rounds, with exhibition matches using 1-1-1 periods. This gives wrestlers outside the 14-person dual lineup, as well as additional club members, an opportunity to get matches. There is no additional charge for wrestlers participating in exhibition matches.
Schedule
Published round times are approximate. If both teams are ready, duals may begin ahead of the listed start time.
Concessions & Gym Policy
A full concession stand will be available. Natick High School allows water only inside the gym—no food or other drinks are permitted. Space will be available outside the gym for coolers.
Awards
First-place awards will be presented at the conclusion of the tournament.
